The wavelength separator is known by many names that relate to its different applications – such as a dichroic mirror, beam combiner or harmonic beam splitter. This product is used to separate (or combine) spectral regions in space by exploiting dielectric thin-film design.

Typical applications for a wavelength separator are filtering fundamental wavelength remains from a second harmonic or letting a pump wavelength pass into a resonator through the back of the mirror.

We design standard items for most common laser wavelengths, but Altechna also offers custom- designed separators in terms of wavelength, size and performance. It is worth mentioning that most of our wavelength separators are coated with sputtering technology, ensuring a high level of performance and durability.
